Steph Curry and Moses Moody combine for 52 points in Warriors’ Bounce-Back Win Over Suns

The Warriors needed a get-right game after the disappointing short two-game road trip where they lost to Milwaukee and blew a late 4th-quarter lead to the Pacers.

It was a well-balanced offensive attack for the Warriors tonight, as Steph Curry scored a team-high 28 points, including five 3-pointers, and Moses Moody, who always stays ready, came off the bench and delivered 24 points, including five threes as well.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead and were dominating throughout the first half as they went into halftime with a 19-point lead. Devin Booker wouldn’t let the Suns go down easy though, scoring a season-high 38 points. Phoenix would go on a 20-6 run to end the 3rd quarter and cut the Warriors’ lead to single digits. The Warriors seemed to have blown a large lead again, like they did in Indiana on Saturday. But, they were missing Jimmy Butler, who was absent the entire second half due to back soreness.

Although the Suns made it competitive, in the fourth quarter, all the Warriors needed were a few stops and a couple of free throws from Steph Curry to secure their victory and improve to 5-3 on the young season.

The Warriors are in Sacramento on Wednesday for the 2nd game of the back-to-back. Steph Curry is out with the stomach flu per Steve Kerr, and Jimmy Butler’s status is still up in the air.
