Warriors – Lakers Recap 2/22/24

In what has been an up and down season for the Warriors, but they did seem to find some sort of consistency heading into the All Star Break. The big question many fans had was could they keep that up heading into the second half of the season.

The Warriors took on the Lakers at Chase Center on Thursday night. Although, the Lakers did not have Lebron James, the Warriors jumped on them early, as Steph Curry had 25 first half points to lead the Warriors to a 11 point halftime lead. Curry also made some history on the night as he captured his 6,000th assist. With this, Curry joined elite company. He became the eighth player in NBA History with at least 23,000 points and 6,000 assists.

Andrew Wiggins, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Jonathan Kuminga all were in double figures as well that helped catapult the Warriors to a 128-110 win. This is the Dubs ninth win in eleven games since the devastating double overtime loss to this same Lakers squad on January 27th.

With this win the Warriors improved to 28-26 on the season with Charlotte up next on Friday.
